Lea Deutschmann is a multidisciplinary artist and designer whose work explores new approaches to the creative process and the role of art and design in supporting mental health and wellbeing. In an increasingly digital world, especially with the rise of AI, her work focuses on reconnecting people with themselves and with others, counteracting social isolation.
Her artistic intelligence and creative methodology also shape the development of Attentive, the app she founded to help reduce endless scrolling on social media and encourage healthier smartphone habits.
The central motivation behind her artistic work and design concepts is the desire to foster human connection in an increasingly disconnected world. Lea Deutschmann’s work often explores the impact of digital technology, societal division, and emotional isolation – and responds with art that evokes a sense of collective strength, the magic of being united, and a deep connection with oneself and others.
Through her artwork and designs, she aims to counteract social fragmentation and offer moments of empathy, presence, and shared experience. Lea Deutschmann’s artistic practice spans drawing, sculptures and art installations resulting in a distinctive and eclectic body of work that blends visual clarity with emotional depth.
After completing her Bachelor of Applied Apparel Design in Brussels, where she lived and worked for five years, Lea Deutschmann moved to Berlin in 2014. There, she freelanced for various projects, ran her own fashion label Klainod, and graduated her Master of Arts at the University of Applied Sciences (HTW) Berlin in 2020.
She currently lives and works in Leipzig with her partner and their three children. More about her work can be found on Instagram @lea_deutschmann.
